This one is a little bit unusual. As many of you know, I am a scout leader and volunteer a few hours per week, although I wanted to do something additional to this normal routine to cross this item off my list.

I’ve joined the World Community Grid which means I have volunteered a portion of my server to a number of research projects which means the resources of my server are being used to process medical and scientific research when I am not using it.

The projects I am supporting are:

• Drug Search for Leishmaniasis
• Help Fight Childhood Cancer
• Help Conquer Cancer
• Computing for clean water
• The clean energy project

So far I have contributed over 6 days of research run time, and it’s still counting. For more information (specifically on the projects, or how you can also contribute) please visit the World Community Grid website.

Something I’ve always wanted to go and do is see a westend musical. So, I went to London and watched the Lion King.

Amazing show, apart from the woman in front who wouldn’t shutup throughout the whole show. Don’t worry, she suffered the wrath of my salted popcorn.

Well that was a great hangover cure. Another item checked off the list!
